Directions

The map below has locations for everything you need throughout the weekend.

Driving

We suggest you use Google maps to plan your route if you are driving. Please note that there is a Southampton football match on Saturday so traffic in and around the city is likely to be heavy for a few hours surrounding the match.

Train

The main train station in Southampton is Southampton Central so for your convenience you should aim to arrive there. However, Southampton Airport Parkway is the other major station. You may find that changing at Airport Parkway is better for your route. You can get between Airport Parkway via train or connecting bus (the U1C).

Coach

The National Express stops in Southampton at either the University of Southampton or at the Central stop at Harbour Parade. For all hotels the central stop is more convenient but for the Scout Huts the University stop is more convenient.

Flights

Southampton Airport is conveniently located by Southampton Airport Parkway train station or by a number of bus connections. Either method will get you into town either via a train to Southampton Central or the U1C bus towards Dock Gate 4 through town.

Transport around Southampton

Southampton has two main bus companies: Bluestar and First. Bluestar run the University bus service, Unilink, which runs conveniently between all the major parts of town. Getting a day pass (currently £3.50) will allow you on all unilink buses for the whole day. Unilink buses are easy to spot as their numbers all start with U (eg. U1).

If you want to catch a taxi then we suggest you use Radio Taxis - their phone number is 02380 666666.
