Activities

SAGGA camps are very relaxed, and the majority of the activities are sorted informally. People come up with ideas, suggest them and once a group wanting to do the same thing has formed people go off and do them! We've set up a channel on Discord for people who want to get some advanced planning going, but there will also be chance to sort plans on the Friday night/Saturday morning of camp. We've also come up with a bunch of ideas ourselves for inspiration.

Some activities do require some pre-planning as we need to tell venues numbers or book tickets. For instance we are hoping to organise a pork pie making lesson, which you can select during booking. If you've got any other ideas which need advanced numbers please get in touch so we can add it on the website.

In terms of getting around. The site is about an hours walk into Melton Mowbray, you can find a handy map here. We expect many people will get to activities by car, and if you are driving to camp we'd appreciate you also giving lifts to an activity. As a driver you'll have a lot of sway in where you're going and can ask passengers to split the costs of fuel and parking if you wish. However you can also spend some or all of the day on-site if you want, it's totally up to you.

Here are some ideas of what you can get up to on site and in the local area, just please come back for Saturday dinner as it's going to be a great one! Saturday lunch can be packed up for all-day adventures.
