A monopoly run around University of Warwick Campus and surrounding areas competing against other teams of 3-6. You may come with a pre formed team from your club or come on your own and we can put you in a team when you arrive. Every team must fill out this form https://forms.gle/TaSy8R1RMtzVwmGA8 and members of the team should book on on this page.
The game starts at 11am from the piazza on the University of Warwick campus. See 'Getting Here' for how to find us. If you are having problems reaching us by 11 let us know in the form above or see 'Contact us'.
To faciltate this game, which is played live against the other teams, at least one person in your team need to be added to a Whatsapp group and be ready to send/recieve messages and photos at all times while the game is being played. We reccomend multiple people from your team are added to this group so you are not depending on only one phone as well as bringing a power bank.
Your team will need a unique mascot which must be present in all submitted photos (we recommend club mascots).
As the game runs over lunch time you can make your own arrangements for lunch. Either bring a packed lunch or money to buy lunch from one of the cafes or supermarkets on campus.
The game ends at 4pm, we will be going for dinner at the Dirty Duck (our on campus pub) and we would love for you to join us if you can.

The piazza is about 100m from the University of Warwick bus interchange. There are regular buses (12x or 11) from Coventry railway station to the bus interchange.

The Rules
The game begins around 11am, you must register with the game masters and listen to the briefing before setting off. All teams must set off at the same time from the piazza. The Game ends at 4pm sharp, no further submissions may be made after this time. You will be put into a team WhatsApp group chat with the game masters, you must ensure you are always ready to receive and send messages and photos as you may be sent time sensitive updates and challenges. You may contact the game masters at any time via your WhatsApp group or by phone, if you need to see us in person we will be at the starting point at the piazza or inside the SU which we will signpost during the briefing.
Properties
The board (on the other side of this sheet) has 22 coloured properties, 4 stations and 2 utilities. Each property is easily found on your preferred navigational app or the Warwick interactive campus map (link sent you you). To purchase a property, station, utility, you must be the first team to submit a photo of your team mascot with the item or place hinted at in the clue (if given otherwise just a photo of the item given in the case of stations and utilities). To submit your photo, send it into your team WhatsApp group with the name of the property, the game masters will react with a ✅or a ❌depending on if you have taken the correct photo. If you are the first team to reach this property, you will collect rent from all players who reach this property after you. If you are not the first team to reach this property you will have to pay rent to the team that already own it. Rent amounts are listed on the property. If a team owns the whole set of one colour, rent amounts will be doubled.
Each team will start with £500. Every 5 properties you visit you will receive £200 for passing go.
Chance/Community Chest Cards
Periodically all groups will be sent the same chance and community chest cards containing challenges, prizes, and tasks. Occasionally we will send updates of which properties are yet to be purchased, you will not know until you visit a property otherwise.
Free Parking
There are numerous car parks around campus and surrounding areas. The team that submits the most photos of their mascot in front of different parking signs will win a prize of £200.
Lunch
You make your own arrangements for lunch, whether that be a packed lunch on the go or visiting one of the food spots on campus.
End of the game
The game ends at 4pm. We would like you to join us for dinner at the Dirty Duck afterwards if your schedule allows, meet us back at the starting point at the piazza. If you need to head off send us a message in your group chat when you’re leaving. Winners and scores will be announced as soon as we work them out!
