SSROB goes up the Forth Bridge

What is it?

SSROB (the SSAGO Strategic Rail Operations Branch) presents an exciting trip to ascend the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Forth Bridge. Raising money for Barnardo's, this event provides a very unique opportunity to see the view from the top of one of the UK's most iconic railway structures.

You'll ascend the bridge by a lift on the side and use specially constructed platforms to see views from different parts of the bridge, after a short talk and exhibition about the bridge and its history. It's fairly accessible, as there's only 12 steps, but it's definitely not one for you if you're afraid of heights...

The Details

We'll be ascending the bridge in the sunset slot on Sunday 25/09/2022 18:00.

It costs £80 to do the experience while, while expensive, is extraordinary value for this event.
You will need to book your own tickets on the website. These go live on Friday 01/07/2022 10:00 and are likely to sell out fast; if you register your interest, we'll drop you an email 5 minutes before they go live.

There are only 13 tickets available to everyone (including the general public) for this slot, so you will need to book quickly. If this is a problem, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Tickets are sold via Eventbrite and more information is available on the Barnardo's website.

We're happy to sort accommodation (at additional cost), and will do this once everyone's got tickets sorted.

You do not need to be a member of SSROB to take part!
